By Idman Omar
Will I always be black,
Muslim and a woman in this country
reading faces
shield against shield
in the long, cheap working hours?
Will there always be
these awful months of fear
when I am foam of the sea
chewed skin and
a low, slow immigrant who
whispers the call to prayer?
