“The light leftover,” “Untitled”, and “untitled,” Karen fitzgerald
Roundness is fundamental to my visual thinking. The form conveys an essence of interconnection, wholeness and metaphysical purpose. When you look into one of my paintings, you respond to the color, nuance and energy embedded in the piece. I use the gilded ground as a cue; the precious metal indicates something beyond our physical world, something metaphysical.
Karen Fitzgerald’s work is actively exhibited in the United States. She received grants from the Queens Community Arts Fund, the Women’s Studio Workshop, and NYFA Artist Corps. Her work is in many private and public collections. Heavily influenced by poetry, her work delights in the energy of gardens, mysteries and all things invisible.
“UNTITLED,” Jeanie Greensfelder
One art inspires the other. I loved the Rorschach image of water in sand at Morro Strand Beach, CA

“Flathead lake,” “SAN YSIDRO MOUNTAINS,” AND “THEY GO WHERE THEY WILL,” c.r. resetarits
I like the edge of things. Edge as in poignant and slightly threatening and edge as in interconnection. I like things that already exist. It's not just about my ecological stance and the future but about mystery and the past. I like building things. I like composition, patterns, palettes, visual rhythms. I like chance, happy falls, miraculous mistakes.
C. R. Resetarits is a writer and collagist. Her collage art has appeared on the covers and in the pages of dozens of magazines. Latest work in HCE and CODE :: art journal. She lives in Oxford, Mississippi.
“Self in Portrait Wild,” Christine Weeber
A false self replaced with a diverse array of gems, shimmering, glinting, glowing. A shamanic initiation, a spiritual rebirth. Seeing myself as I truly am—free, radiant, complex, wild. A gift to myself to paint it. A gift for you now viewer to remind we are all goddesses and gods.
Christine Weeber is a painter and the author of two poetry chapbooks, In the Understory of Her Being and Sastrugi. Her work has also appeared in the Wild Roof Journal, the DASH Literary Journal, Solo: On Her Own Adventure, and other publications. Christine is an editor at Sapiens magazine.
“Untitled,” CYNTHIA YAtchMAN
I primarily use acrylic, latex paints, inks, papers and charcoal. My images contain many diverse layers of meanings, from the universal to the specific and personal. Many of my works are abstract. I am frequently interested in pattern and/or creating a rich sensual surface by making layer upon layer of marks. There is often an unseen history within these layers as images are obscured and revealed. At times my work speaks to issues of social justice, revelation and connection and my work frequently gives reference to my experience with nature. My images can provide occasions for contemplating the unity that underlies things which at first seem disparate.
Cynthia Yatchman is a Seattle based artist and art instructor. She works primarily on paintings, prints and collages. Her art is housed in numerous public and private collections in the Northwest and she has been shown nationally in California, Connecticut, New York, Indiana, Michigan, Oregon and Wyoming.
